from John Seed’s review in the Huffington Post:

Painter Julia Schwartz takes the subject matter of icebergs and the Arctic Sea as her starting point, and opens up metaphors for emotional states. There is a bit of late Guston in Schwartz' heartfelt brushwork and in her conviction that each painting is a dialogue with the unconscious. A practicing analyst, Julia Schwartz has a feeling for depth and discovery.
