From March-May 2020 (the first 2 months of lockdown) I worked in a book, repurposing materials on hand: an old financial booklet and clippings from the LA times art section saved for years. These were collaged and painted with gouache. I used the LA public health website to make notations of the date, the daily cases and the death tolls, occasionally adding other notes and messages about life during those months.
